Outfindo creates interactive, user-friendly guides for e-commerce
websites, helping shoppers find the perfect product by answering
simple, preference-based questions. These guides dynamically filter
products in real-time, focusing on technical specifications and
features, ensuring a seamless, personalized shopping experience.
Challenge
The aim was to keep users engaged with the interactive guide to lead
them to the most suitable products without relying on traditional
e-commerce filters. Classic filters can overwhelm users and detract
from the guided experience, potentially causing them to miss out on
products that best fit their needs. The challenge was to integrate
filtering capabilities within the navigation flow, maintaining user
engagement and simplifying the selection process.
Solution
A “nonlinear” navigation mode was developed that merges filters with
the interactive guide, providing a cohesive and flexible user
experience.
Merging filters with navigation
This approach integrates filtering options directly into the
navigation process, eliminating the complexity of traditional filter
interfaces. Users can seamlessly refine product results while
interacting with the guide, creating an intuitive and personalized
shopping experience.
"Nonlinear" navigation mode
Users are given the flexibility to progress forward or backward
through the guide, revisiting and adjusting their previous answers.
A visible summary of their selections keeps them informed, engaged,
and in control of their journey, ensuring their choices align with
the most relevant product recommendations.
